JAKARTA - King Charles III is determined to follow the example given by Queen Elizabeth II's mother, while speaking in front of members of the British Parliament.

During the ceremony at Westminster Hall, King Charles III used his speech at the top and low parliamentary assembly, to pay tribute to his mother and promised to uphold the principles of constitutional rule.

"When he was very young, His Majesty promised himself to serve his country and people, to maintain the valuable principles of constitutional governance that lies in the heart of our nation. This oath he defended with unrivaled devotion," he said.

"He gave an example of being dutyless who, with the help of God and your advice, I am determined to follow him faithfully," continued King Charles III.

Meanwhile, John McFall, Chairman of the House of Lords, told Charles that the queen has become a "leader and servant to her people."

King Charles III paid tribute to parliament as a 'living and breathing instrument of our democracy'.

"As I stand before you today, I cannot help but feel the burden of history surrounding us, and which reminds us of a vital parliamentary tradition, in which the members of the two Council dedicate themselves to our personal commitments to progress," he explained.

It is known that the ceremony in which speakers House of Lords and House of Commons spoke to the king whether they had access or in Yobel, had taken place at the Westminster Palace since the Victoria Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 1897.

The constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy system of Britain has been going on since 1688, when parliament invited William of Orange to replace King James.
