Worried That The Fire Would Spread To Gas Stations, The East Jakarta Fire Department Joined The Extinguishing The Burning JNE Warehouse In Depok

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) participated in handling the fire at the JNE Warehouse on Jalan Raya Bogor, Cimanggis Village, Cimanggis District, Depok, Monday, September 12.

"From the reports received, the object that caught fire was the JNE warehouse on Jalan Raya Bogor, Cimanggis District. It entered the Depok area," said East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Head Gatot Sulaeman, Monday, September 12.

The process of extinguishing the fire is still being carried out, officers from the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. at the location.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. However, it is certain that a number of fire engines from the East Jakarta and Depok Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) continue to try to extinguish the growing fire.

"We have deployed 2 units of fire engines with 10 personnel. Currently, officers are still working (conducting the process of extinguishing the fire)," he said.

The growing fire is feared to spread to the public gas station (SPBU) located behind the warehouse.

Previously, the Head of Operational Control at the Depok City Fire and Rescue Service, Welman Naipos, said that his party received a report, Monday, September 12, at 04.51 WIB.

Welman said 17 firefighters were dispatched to the location to extinguish the fire.

"We have 17 units directed," he said.

Welman suspects that the cause of the fire in the warehouse was an electrical short circuit. But to be clearer, his party asked for time to complete the process of extinguishing it.
