JAMBI - Jambi Police arrested 15 motorcycle gang gangs who took action on Sunday night carrying sharp weapons. Most of the perpetrators are minors. Jambi Police Chief, Kombes Eko Wahyudi said that the perpetrators of this motorcycle gang had repeatedly carried out their actions in the Jambi City area. "This gang of motorcycle gangs was arrested in various different places, ranging from Jambi City to Kumbeh Ulu District, Muarojambi," he said as quoted by Antara. Eko explained that the gang of motorcycle gangs that were secured were divided into two groups, namely the motorcycle gang 'we are family' and the motorcycle gang 'haji Kamil'. "Where are 12 people from our motorcycle gang - we are family and 3 people from the Haji Kamil motorcycle gang," he said. He explained that the motorcycle gang 'we-we family' is a combination of various regions such as South Jambi District, East Jambi and a number of areas in Jambi City. Meanwhile, the Haji Kamil motorcycle gang is from a group around South Jambi District. The identities of members of the Kita-kita Family motorcycle gang who were arrested were BD (15), AR (15), FR (15), WL (15), BM (15), MF (15), RR (14), MF (14), NP (15), MD (15), RF (15) and SA (15). Meanwhile, the identities of members of the Haji Kamil motorcycle gang are RR (17), MR (16) and AEP (19). The chronology of the motorcycle gang's arrest began on Sunday, September 1, 2022, at around 01.00 WIB, when the police received information that several youths were in a convoy with motorbikes carrying weapons. Then the police immediately went to the TKP and when they were at the TKP they immediately secured and confiscated several types of sharp weapons. Then the perpetrator and the evidence were immediately taken to the Jambi Police Satreskrim office for further processing. The evidence that was secured were two sharp sickles, one sharp samurai weapon and one long samurai sharp weapon. Eko added that the perpetrators who went viral slashed and stole fruit shops, namely from a gang of Haji Kamil motorcycle gangs. "Yang kemarin sempat viral itu yang geng haji kamil," katanya. Kasatreskrim Jambi Police, Kompol Afrito Marbaro Macan, Sunday said that no special guidance was given to motorcycle gang perpetrators. "We immediately raise the file, there will be no coaching, there will be no summons for parents," he explained.
