JAKARTA - Chairman of the Election Organizers Honorary Council (DKPP) Heddy Lugito has resigned from his commissioner position at BUMN PT Sang Hyang Seri (Persero).
"On Saturday, I informed the Minister of SOEs by telephone and WA. He can accept my resignation," said Heddy in an official DKPP release in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, September 11.
Heddy said that his party would submit a direct resignation letter to the Minister of State of SOEs Erick Thohir on Monday, September 12 morning.
He emphasized that his decision to withdraw from the Commissioner of PT Sang Hyang Seri was a form of his commitment to maintain the dignity of DKPP and democracy.
"DKPP must not be'meduated'. Let's work hard, focus on improving the quality of elections and democracy in our beloved country," he said.
For information, Heddy Lugito has served as Independent Commissioner of PT Sang Hyang Seri since December 2021.
