SULTRA - Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) and SME Teten Masduki said that Central Buton Regency in Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) has the potential to develop three high-value marine commodities, namely lobster, anchovies, and seaweed as regional superior products.

He said that as many as 53 tourist destinations in Central Buton could not all be developed, but there is a cave diving location that has become an international sports tourist destination.

"Nature tourist attractions need to be conserved to ensure their sustainability, so that strategic partnerships with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries are very important to be carried out in terms of the use of marine tourism. Local governments are also expected to form regional companies in the tourism sector in collaboration with KOPISETARA," he concluded.
