JAKARTA - Three specialists in breaking into minimarkets were arrested by the East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim). The three suspects with the initials S alias Jabrik, Maman and Haryono alias Koplek were arrested in the Cinere area, South Jakarta after carrying out the theft at the minimarket.

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budi Sartono said the three suspects had carried out 11 minimarket robbery incidents with the mode of breaking into the roof.

"Ada 11 kejadian ini dilakukan selama 2 bulan terakhir. Aksi terbanyak di Jakarta Selatan, di Jakarta Selatan ada 6 TKP kejadian dan di Jakarta Timur ada 5 TKP kejadian. paling banyak kejadian di Jakarta Selatan. Mereka menjual hasil curian itu ada yang ke pasar dan ada yang dijual putus," ujar Kombes Budi Sartono kepada wartawan, Jumat, 9 September.

The perpetrators were previously construction workers for the demolition of houses. They have a number of retaining equipment for the roof of the building.

"Indeed (the three perpetrators) are specialists, players are empty. He is an empty builder. So he usually cleans empty buildings, so the equipment is complete," he said.

As is known, the theft at the minimarket occurred at 5 different points. This incident occurred during August 2022.

The first incident occurred on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Indomaret Basuki Rahmat, Jalan Basuki Rahmat No. 10, Bali Mester Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. The perpetrators managed to damage the cash receipt of Rp. 14 million and cigarettes worth 8.5 million.

On Tuesday, August 16, 2022, there was a theft at Indomaret Kramat Jati, Jalan Raya Bogor Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. The perpetrators with the same mode took goods in the form of cigarettes with a loss of Rp 6 million.

In third place, the incident occurred at Indomaret Otista, Jalan Otista Raya III, Jatinegara, East Jakarta on Saturday, August 20. At this location, the perpetrator entered the mini market by damaging the roof and managed to break into the safe. The perpetrator took Rp15 million in cash and cigarettes Rp 23 million rupiah.

Furthermore, the burglary occurred on Saturday 27 August 2022 at Indomaret Jatinegara Kaum, Pulo Gadung, Jalan Bekasi Timur, Pulo Gadung. The perpetrators managed to steal a number of items with a loss of Rp 26 million.

The latest incident occurred at the Indomaret minimarket in the Scout area, East Jakarta on Tuesday, August 29, 2022. The perpetrator entered through the roof and took a number of cigarettes with a total loss of Rp. 19 million.
