JAKARTA - Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday the West used Ukraine to execute a corruption scheme in which, a large fund allocated for weapons supply to Kyiv, was then divided among Western companies.

"This is part of a global corruption scheme, to allocate colossal funds from the budget of Western countries called democracy, and share them among their companies," he told a news conference.

Some of these funds, according to Zakharova, were sent to Ukraine, and some were legalized through the Kyiv regime before being returned to Western banks.

"We have seen this many times in other countries and other regions of the world. Now this scheme is implemented in Ukraine," the diplomat said.

Zakharova refers to the words of German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht who said Germany had reached its limits for arms supplies to Ukraine.

"Human resources have not yet reached the limit, not Germany, but Ukraine," Zakharova said.

"They don't care how many people will die there," he said.

The West, according to Zakharova, care about how many weapons they leave behind for themselves, and maybe about how much money will be spent on this.

"It's somewhere out there. It's Slavia, and we know what roles have historically been given to Slavia in the West," he said.
