JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in his mandate as Inspector of the Ceremony for the Determination of Reserve Components (Komcad) for the 2022 TNI FY in Bandung, West Java, emphasized the important role of Komcad in helping realize an Advanced Indonesia. "One of the important missions that can be carried out by Reserve Components is to increase understanding of global issues, instill social solidarity, and spread tolerance and moderation to strengthen unity and integrity. This social capital is very valuable in supporting Indonesia's transformation going forward, towards an Advanced Indonesia," said Ma'ruf Amin in a press release received, Antara, Thursday, September 8. The Vice President said there were four steps to foster social capital for Reserve Components. First, Reserve Component defense training to be designed in a broad perspective, combining conventional defense patterns and non-traditional threats. Second, the need for optimistic narrative development in public communication related to the role and function of Reserve Components so that collective awareness arises for all children of the nation to take part in efforts to defend the country in various forms. Through this awareness, the Vice President assessed that Indonesia's strength in defending the nation's sovereignty would be even greater and realizing an Advanced Indonesia. Third, the promotion of state defense in the younger generation requires innovative breakthroughs, so it is necessary to develop creative and contemporary training so that the country defense program is effective in reaching various target groups. Ma'ruf Amin advised them to return to their respective places and continue to carry out their mandates properly in social life. Fourth, after completing training, Reserve Component members should maintain their mandate as Reserve Components while continuing to be an inspiration for defending the country for the community. Previously, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto at the TNI 2022 Reserve Component Determination ceremony reported the implementation of training as well as asked the Vice President to set Reserve Components for the 2022 Fiscal Year.
