Update On COVID-19 As Of 24 November: New Cases Of 4,192, Heal, Increasing 2,927

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 39,971 specimens were examined with the results that there were 4,192 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 506,302 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Tuesday, November 24.

Today's cases increased by 2,927, so that a total of 425,313 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 109 people and a total of 16,111 people.

The province with the most new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 1,015 new cases and a total of 129,188 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.

Followed by Central Java, which has 928 new cases with a total of 49,313 cases. East Java has 354 new cases and a total of 59,398 cases. Then, West Java has 299 new cases and a total of 48,965 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,060 cases recovered. Followed by West Java with an additional 428 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 300 recovered cases, and East Java with an increase of 157 recovered cases.

Then, there is 1 province that reported no new cases today. The province is Maluku.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 5,420,591. In detail, a total of 5,323,715 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 96,876 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).

"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14 percent," he wrote.

Finally, the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 64,441 people. Currently, 505 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
