JAKARTA - The Directorate General of PAS granted the rights in the form of parole on 23 convicts of corruption cases on Tuesday, September 6. There were a number of corruptors released such as Pinangki Sirna Malasari or Pinangki Prosecutor, former Banten Governor Ratu Atut Choisiyah, to former Jambi Governor Zumi Zola. "In September, 1,368 prisoners have been granted conditional parole, conditional leave and leave before release to 1,368 convicts, all criminal cases from all over Indonesia, including 23 corruption convicts," said Head of Public Relations and Protocol of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Directorate Rika Aprianti in a written statement, Wednesday, September 7. The provision of conditional rights is based on Article 10 of the Correctional Law Number 22 of 2022. There are rules related to remission, assimilation, visiting leave, boarding leave, leave before release, parole and other rights in the regulation. "This right is given without exception and non-doiskriminative to all prisoners who have met the requirements," said Rika.
