JAKARTA - Iriana Joko Widodo (Jokowi) introduced Bedouin weaving to the Philippine First Lady, Louise AranetaMarcos, during a state visit at the Bogor Presidential Palace.

"This is so beautiful (this is very beautiful)," said Louise AranetaMarcos at the Veranda of the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java (Jabar), quoted from Antara, Monday, September 5.

Iriana also showed a number of red, gray, and green cloths to Louise Araneta'Marcos.

"Enough, enough, you spoiled me," said Louise Araneta Marcos laughing and hugging Iriana.

A Bedouin craftsmen then explained about the fabric manufacturing process.

"This is cloth from the outside Bedouin, its manufacture is one to four months using natural dyes," said the crafter.

Louise AranetaMarcos also seemed to observe the process of working on cloth in a mechanical weaving machine carried out by female craftsmen for about 10 minutes.

After finishing seeing the Bedouin fabric weaving process, Iriana Jokowi invited Louise AranetaMarcos to enjoy light snacks on the homepage of the Bogor Presidential Palace.

President of the Republic of the Philippines, Ferdinand Romuadez Marcos Jr. with his wife, Louise AranetaMarcos, started a state visit to Indonesia since Sunday 4 September.

The two heads of state and delegates discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in various sectors of regional cooperation in the context of ASEAN.

Participating in the bilateral meeting were Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno.

Furthermore, Minister of State Secretariat Pratikno, Indonesian Ambassador to the Philippines Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Agus Widjojo, and Director General of Asia Pacific and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abdul Kadir Jailani.
