Polda Metro Jaya Will Hold The Kemayoran Street Race Routinely Once A Month Two Months

JAKARTA - Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman hopes that, with the street race event being held in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, youth racing motorbike hobbyists will not need to return to race on the highway that interferes with the activities of other road users.

"We no longer need to race outside, because to maintain safety and public order. In today's second race, there were about 500 participants who participated, we did divide it into several parts," Kombes Latif told reporters, Sunday, September 4.

At this Sunday street race event, he continued, there was a battle or competition. So there are types of vehicles contested.

"Today, most of the time, until 21.00 WIB, the distribution of prizes has been made," he said.

Kombes Latif explained, after the street race event in Kemayoran was over, Polda Metro Jaya would look for other street races concepts.

"The concept is how to really get the entire community, all the grassroots of wild racing lovers who have not been embraced here, to enter this activity. So that there will be no commotion, no accidents, without our supervision. So hopefully this is the means in Jakarta already exist," he said.

Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya explained, later there will be a racing event plan every two months.
