Regent Of Sambas Menhan Prabowo, Explain The Conditions Of The Indonesian Border

JAKARTA - The Regent of Sambas, West Kalimantan, Satono met with Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto. He explained the conditions in the border area of Aruk, Indonesia - Sarawak, Malaysia.

"Alhamdulillah, I received a special invitation from the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto. When I had the opportunity to meet him, I immediately conveyed that regarding the conditions and progress of development in the Sambas-Malaysia border area," said Satono, Friday, September 2, quoted from Antara.

Satono said border conditions in terms of regional security and others were still well maintained. Then development progress continues.

During the meeting, he also expressed his gratitude to Prabowo Subianto for his commitment to supporting development in border areas, especially in the field of defense and security.

"During the meeting, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto advised to seriously fix development. Especially those in direct contact with the people, such as the food and agricultural security sector," he said.

According to him, the Sambas Regency Government is very committed so that the food and agricultural security sectors in the area can continue to have food self-sufficiency. Moreover, almost 70 percent of the population of Sambas Regency earns a living as farmers.

"Currently Sambas has become a food barn for West Kalimantan. This existing achievement continues to be improved and maintained for the welfare of the Sambas people," he said.
