JAKARTA Presidential Chief of Staff Dr. Moeldoko encourages Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to immediately take care of their business licenses and switch to digital. "So that MSMEs can immediately advance to class," said Moeldoko in front of a member of the Banyumas Regency Micro and Medium Business Actors Association (Aspikmas), in Purwokerto, Central Java, Thursday, September 1.

Moeldoko revealed that the development of MSMEs to be able to advance to class is one of five major agendas of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. For this reason, he explained, the government through the implementation of the Job Creation Law, namely PP No. 7/2021, has provided support to MSMEs from various aspects, from upstream to downstream. Such as capital, licensing, certification facilitation, to marketing and partnerships.

For example, regarding licensing. The government has made it easy to apply for permits online through the OSS RBA. And so far, the government has issued more than 1.6 million NIB for micro and small businesses. Who hasn't taken care of it, immediately take care of its business license so that it can feel the benefits of other government programs," said Moeldoko in a written statement received by VOI.

Moeldoko ensured that the government was very supportive of MSMEs. This is because MSMEs have a big contribution to gross domestic product (GDP) which reached 61 percent. Therefore, when the pandemic hit the MSME sector, the government immediately disbursed assistance either in the form of Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) or others. "In addition to direct cash assistance, the government also provides tax incentives during the pandemic," he explained.

On that occasion, the 2013-20 2015 TNI Commander also emphasized the importance of collecting data on MSME actors, so that government policies and programs related to the development of MSMEs can be right on target. "So far, the government has pushed for large numbers of KUR. But unfortunately the absorption is only a little. One of the reasons is that MSMEs have not been registered," explained Moeldoko, who is now also referred to as the guardian of the Republic of Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Pujiyanto, chairman of the Banyumas Regency Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Association (Aspikmas), said that Aspikmas is a strategic partner to assist the assistance and empowerment of MSMEs in the Banyumas area. Currently, he added, the total Aspikmas members are more than 5000 spread over 27 sub-districts.

We (Aspikmas) have a national competitive vision. For this reason, we provide training and assistance to MSMEs, including for licensing. We have accompanied twenty-one thousand MSMEs to get NIB," said Pujiyanto.

"We really hope for support from the government for your training and capital," said Pujiyanto in front of Moeldoko.
