SEMARANG The spontaneous action of junior high school students who helped smooth traffic flow when the Trans Semarang bus caught fire at the Bukitsari Bus Stop, Banyumanik, Semarang City received appreciation from the police.

The awarding as a form of appreciation for the Police was given by Kasatlantas Polrestabes Semarang AKBP Sigit at SMP 30 Semarang which was witnessed directly by hundreds of students and teachers at the school.

The brave student who got the reward was M. Luthfi Farchan, a first grade student of SMP Negeri 30 Semarang City.

For his brave and very sympathetic actions, Kasatlantas also expressed his appreciation from the Central Java Police Chief, the Central Java Police Traffic Director and the Semarang Police Chief.

Kasatlantas hopes that Luthfi's actions can be an example for both students and the public.

"Hopefully in the future, our younger brother Muhammad Luthfi can be an example of Suritaula and for students throughout Indonesia, especially the City of Semarang as well as the general public," he said.

Kasatlantas also assessed that Luthfi's actions not only showed the courage and spontaneity of a student, but also cared about the emergency situation in the surrounding environment.

"Therefore, we appreciate the bold action at the time of the bus fire in helping the community to smooth traffic flow when the traffic police are heading to the TKP," he continued.

Previously, Luthfi had gone viral through an Instagram post @incidentsmg, where in the post Luthfi was seen still wearing a school uniform holding a bag to regulate traffic at around 17.00 WIB shortly after the Semarang City Rapid Transit (BRT) Bus, Central Java caught fire on Monday, August 29.

The Central Java Police Chief through the Head of Humas Kombes Pol M Iqbal Alqudusy said that his party hopes that this momentum will provide positive inspiration for students to continue to excel and dare to appear in helping the difficulties of the surrounding community.

"Positive actions of the younger generation like what Luthfi did are very useful and inspire the public. Of course, we and all ranks of the Police are very proud and also give appreciation," he concluded.
