JAKARTA - The Perindo Party said that the Crejcie and Morgan Methods in verifying factuals for political parties that can participate in the 2024 General Election can be burdensome for political parties "With the old method, all parties feel heavy. Ahmad Rofiq said the impact of the implementation of the Krejcie and Morgan method was immediately felt by his party. They have to work extra to ensure Perindo passes factual verification. This condition, he said, was increasingly unfair because factual verification with the new method was only applied to non-parlement parties. The reason is because the decision of the Constitutional Court number 55/PUU-XVIII/2020 made the parliamentary party not have to carry out factual verification. "Today all political parties have the same position. Both will participate in the election, both looking for votes and chairs. It should be the same," said Ahmad. He also questioned the reason why the KPU implemented the Crejcie and Morgan Methods in carrying out factual verification. "When it comes to methods, it's the same in the past. It's also evidence. Why do you have to change and it's burdensome," said Ahmad Rofiq. Meanwhile, KPU Commissioner Idham Holik ensured that the use of this method did not want to complicate non-parlement parties. "We are consulting an authoritative institution on statistics. It is recommended because it is more precise in order to describe the population. Previously, the rules used simple sample methods," he said. He added that the use of the Krejcie and Morgan Methods is an effort to prove the public in accordance with the mandate of the Election Law. Thus, the party can meet the membership requirements according to the rules. "In the sense that its membership can be proven, it is the factual verification function for proof. This can be seen in article one," he said. Idham considers the factual verification view in the latest PKPU to make it difficult for non-parliament parties as a different point of view. Because, the KPU has conducted public trials before implementing the Krejcie and Morgan Methods. "There is no need for us to make it difficult, because a public trial was carried out," he said.
