KALBAR - A landslide hit Pasiran Village, West Singkawang District, Pontianak City, West Kalimantan (Kalbar). As a result of the natural disaster, three houses were heavily damaged.

"Three houses were damaged, two houses were heavily damaged and one house was slightly damaged. The hilly land in Kampung Batu experienced a landslide during heavy rains yesterday, then hit three houses under it," said Head of the Singkawang Disaster Preparedness Team (Tagana) Ferri Samson in Singkawang, Sunday, August 28.

Luckily, he continued, from the incident there were no injuries or fatalities. However, considering the intensity of rainfall has been quite high lately, he asked residents to always be vigilant.

"The flooding that is happening now is due to the very slow movement of water. Like the example around the Grand Mosque, the time of heavy rain this afternoon was indeed flooded, but once it rained moderately, it started to dry up a little bit," he said.
