Considered Not Competitive, A 13-year-old Santri In Tangerang Islamic Boarding School Died By 12 Friends

TANGERANG - A member of the Darul Qur'an Lantaburo Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) in Ketapang Village, Cipondoh District, Tangerang City, RAP (13) died because his friends had beaten him.

The Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Zain Dwi Nugroho, said the incident occurred on Saturday, August 27. A total of 12 students were arrested by the police.

The 12 arrested by the police were AI (15), BA (13), FA (15), DFA (15), TS (14), S (13), RE (14), DAP (13), MSB (14), BHF (14), MAJ (13) and RA (13).

The incident began when the victim was deemed disrespectful by his friends, because he often woke up using his feet. Then AI provoked dozens of other students to gang up on the victim.

"After the victim did a recitation downstairs, he and other friends went up to the 4th floor to take a shower, but suddenly the victim was pulled into the room and immediately beaten, beaten, kicked and trampled on by the perpetrators, resulting in the victim falling unconscious," said Zain when confirmed on Sunday, August 28.

After the incident, the victim was rushed to the Sari Asih Cipondoh Hospital, Tangerang City, and then referred to the Tangerang Hospital for an autopsy. As a result, the victim died with a number of wounds from blunt force violence.

"The victim has been autopsied at the Tangerang Hospital, with the result that the cause of death was due to violence on the front of the head, as well as the back, then signs of violence on the face and back," he said.

Zain said that his party is still continuing to investigate. Meanwhile, related to the supervision of the Islamic boarding school, his party has not found any negligence.

"There is no (indication of Islamic boarding school negligence) yet, because it happened during recess, to be exact when you want to take a shower," he said.
