JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPDB) provides psychosocial support services to children affected by the Simprug Golf 2 fire, RT 04/08, South Grogol Village, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

This activity was led by the Head of the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of the DKI BPBD and accompanied by the Sub-Coordinator for Recovery and Socio-Economic Improvement of the DKI BPBD together with the Social Service, DPPAPP, PMI and Peace Pioneers of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"This psychosocial support service is provided to restore mental or psychological health for survivors in areas affected by fires," said Head of DKI Jakarta BPBD Isnawa Adji in a statement, Friday, August 26.

In this psychological recovery activity, BPDB invites child survivors of the big fire incident to play and sing together. The children also received a distribution of food and toys.

In addition to children, DKI Jakarta BPBD also provides psychological assistance to adults. This activity takes place from Tuesday, August 23 to Friday, August 26.

"Psychological assistance and relaxation methods are also carried out for adult survivors, vulnerable groups and the elderly," Isnawa said.

As is known, the fire at Jalan Simprug Golf 2 occurred on Sunday, August 21. A total of 120 families were affected by the fires that hit the area. A 48-year-old resident died when he learned of the fire.

Related to this, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria said the DKI Provincial Government would move the residences of residents affected by the fire at Simprug Golf, South Jakarta, to another location.

Residents who previously lived in the area, continued Riza, will be relocated to simple rental flats (rusunawa) owned by the government.

"We will look for a solution. What is certain is that we will continue to build rusunawa, and the fire flood victims will be a priority. We will see where the stock (rusunawa for relocation) is," said Riza at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Wednesday, August 24.
