Tangerang Regency DPRD Member Asks Police To Investigate NGO Actions For Anarchy

TANGERANG - The chairman of the PDIP faction of the Tangerang Regency DPRD, Akmaludin Nugraha, has spoken about the incident of vandalism of his office facilities by non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

According to him, the vandalism incident must be dealt with firmly. This means that the police must investigate the case.

"Destruction of government facilities must be dealt with firmly. For this reason, we ask the legal apparatus in this case the police to take immediate action," said Akmaludin when confirmed, Thursday, August 25.

Akmaludin admitted that he did not have a problem with anyone who wanted to express their aspirations. However, if in expressing his opinion there is a riot, he asks that strict action be taken.

"However, the expression of aspirations must be in a civilized manner. So as not to do things that harm other people and act anarchically that leads to destruction," he said.

The same thing was said by Member of Commission IV DPRD Tangerang Regency, Banten Deden Umar Dani. According to him, if the action is colored by acts of violence or the destruction of public facilities is a violation of existing rules.

"So the destruction is completely unacceptable," he concluded.

Previously reported, a number of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) raided the office of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Tangerang Regency. They were seen destroying local office facilities.

Muhamad Syariansyah as an officer at the Tangerang Regency DPRD Office confirmed the incident. The incident occurred at 13.30 WIB.

As for what was damaged by a number of NGOs, such as flower pots, chairs, and tables,

"They came. At around 13.30 WIB, they immediately damaged the facilities here," said Syariansyah, Thursday, August 25.

Syariansyah said, they protested against the plan to build Tigaraksa Hospital.
