In The Aftermath Of The Rizieq Health Prokes Violation In Megamendung, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil Will Sanction The Bogor Regency Government

JAKARTA - The Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, emphasized that he would impose sanctions on the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab). This sanction was in the aftermath of a crowd of supporters of Rizieq Shihan in Megamendung, West Java.

"I will also impose sanctions on Bogor Regency," Ridwan Kamil told reporters, Friday, November 20.

Sanctions will be given in writing. But the man who is often called Kang Emil did not clearly explain the form of this sanction.

"In the regulation there is an oral warning, it is written that it is being prepared and there are other considerations which of course we will decide properly," he said.

Kang Emil said, imposing sanctions on the Bogor Regency Government would not be in the near future. This is because Bogor Regent Ade Yasin was declared exposed to COVID-19, so he is currently undergoing treatment.

"So the mystical atmosphere in Kabouaten Bogor is not good. So the rules are still upheld, but we will also prioritize humanity," he said.

On this day, Ridwan Kamil was questioned to clarify about the alleged violation of the health protocol at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit for seven hours. During the examination he explained about the regional autonomy system adopted by the province of West Java.

This clarification relates to the alleged violation of health protocols when a crowd of supporters of Rizieq Shihab occurred some time ago.

The crowd happened when Rizieq attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the pesantren. His arrival attracted public attention, but many did not apply health protocols by not wearing masks.
