JAKARTA - The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) has been questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding two envelopes given by Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's staff at the Propam office last month.

LPSK spokesman, Rully Novian confirmed that LPSK had visited the KPK on Monday, August 22, yesterday. LPSK was questioned for two hours.

"We are clarifying regarding the existence of public reports, LPSK must obey and implement it. That's why LPSK was present to fulfill the call for clarification at the KPK for 2 hours," he told reporters, Wednesday, August 24.

The KPK made the summons after verifying the public's report regarding the two brown envelopes given by Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's staff. LPSK also provides information according to the facts on the ground.

"We don't have any files with us, we only convey our information, which we have previously conveyed to several media outlets," he said.

After the clarification process, LPSK did not know about the next summons.

As is known, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's staff allegedly gave two brown envelopes to LPSK at the Propam Polri office, when Inspector General Ferdy Sambo asked LPSK to protect Putri Candrawati, wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

The two brown envelopes were inserted by Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's staff in the MAP, but LPSK immediately refused because it was not a file for protection.
