The victim was on his way home from Pagatan Market using a ketinting boat or a small wooden boat.

When passing through the pier on the Kusan River, the ketinting boat they were traveling on was capsized by the waves due to another boat passing by.

Residents who saw the incident immediately tried to help with members of the Tanah Bumbu BPBD to search for victims by walking along the river.

The BPBD team, the community, assisted by the National Search and Rescue Agency, the Transportation Service, TNI, Pol Airud, Tanah Bumbu PKJR Volunteers, Firefighters, and Lazismu Volunteers together helped carry out the search along the river.

"The victim can be found but is already dead, then we hand over the victim to the family for burial," said Sulhadi.
