Anies Receives SP 2 Doesn't Solve 9 Jakarta Problems, Deputy Governor Of DKI Even Asks Residents To Compare Jokowi-Ahok Periods

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan received a second warning letter (SP 2) from the Jakarta People's Struggle Coalition (Kopaja) because they have not yet resolved 9 crucial problems in Jakarta.

Responding to this, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria instead asked the public to compare the achievements of the work program under Anies' leadership with those of previous governors, such as when Joko Widodo and Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) served as Governor of DKI.

"The public can compare, in each period, the previous one, the public can compare which 2017-2022 programs have been implemented, as well as 2012-2017, and so on," said Riza at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Tuesday, August 23.

From this comparison, continued Riza, the public, especially the community groups who are members of the Kopaja, can see what programs have been executed or which have not been implemented by each governor.

"So, from these programs, the community can openly make tables, compare, which ones have and which ones have not. Each period has programs and is general. So that people can see, in which period, better development occurs, " he explained.

Furthermore, regarding Kopaja's demands for the settlement of 9 Jakarta problems, Riza said he appreciated this attitude.

However, this former member of the DPR RI admitted that the Jakarta problems that had occurred since the previous period could not be immediately resolved by Anies, whose term of office ended in two months.

"You can't turn everything around like turning your hand. Everything is suddenly stuck, finished in one period, it's impossible. Floods are finished in one period, yes, it's impossible. But will we see how our transportation improves? Isn't that clear. Is there an increase in public transport users? Obviously there is a significant increase," he said.

Today, a group of people on behalf of the Jakarta People's Struggle Coalition (Kopaja) returned to the DKI Jakarta City Hall to give a second warning letter (SP 2) to DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

This SP 2 was issued because Anies had not yet resolved 9 crucial problems in Jakarta. The first warning letter has been sent since April 22, 2022.

"We do not see good faith in the maximum efforts of the Governor of DKI Jakarta to solve 9 problems in the DKI Jakarta Province. Anies Baswedan as Governor of DKI Jakarta has not implemented all the recommendations that have been concretely submitted by Kopaja in warning letter 1," said a Kopaja representative from LBH Jakarta at DKI City Hall.

In fact, said Jeanny, the 9 problems they are demanding are very crucial and urgent to be resolved immediately because they are directly related to the enjoyment of a decent basic standard of living for humans, especially residents of DKI Jakarta.

"We reject the politicization of public issues and demand that you seriously resolve the issue structurally and sustainably," said Jeanny.

1. Poor air quality in Jakarta, which has exceeded the national ambient air quality standard

2. Difficult access to clean water in Jakarta due to water privatization

3. Flood management has not been rooted in several causes of flooding
