Brigadier J's Father Reveals Why His Son Is Studying For 7 Years

TANGERANG - Samuel Hutabarat, Brigadier J's father, explained why his son studied for 7 years at the Open University, South Tangerang.

Samuel said, Joshua had to undergo a job transfer or Under Operational Control (BKO) at the Jambi Police Brimo. This is what makes the child complete his studies for up to 7 years.

"Indeed, if you count the years of study, in 2019 the deceased should have completed his studies. But because the deceased was before in Jakarta at the Jambi Police Mobile Brigade, the deceased had a BKO several times outside the region," Samuel told reporters at the Open University, South Tangerang, Tuesday, 23 August.

Samuel recalled the struggle in raising Joshua from childhood until finally completing his undergraduate degree at the Open University.

"As parents, we are very touched, we remember raising the deceased from childhood until the end of his life. We remember all the struggles of parents, especially since we are said to be not wealthy people, we can nurture him by God's guidance," he said.

"This is the sadness we feel personally or as a big family after he struggled to get his bachelor's degree, I who replaced the deceased was very sad," he continued.
