The victim who died was a 35-year-old mother and her eight-year-old son who had been evacuated to the Navy Hospital to be returned to Salatiga, Central Java.

"There were three people in the landslide house, the two victims died, the mother and child, and the father, Haryanto, survived the disaster," said Herlin quoted from Antara.

Sorong City BPBD in collaboration with partners namely Basarnas, TNI and Polri continues to monitor the flood situation in Sorong city.

"People who need help and houses damaged by landslides can report to the Sorong City BPBD office," added Herlin.
