NTB Police Investigate Allegations Of Corruption In The Central Lombok Regent's Hall Project

MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police are investigating allegations of corruption in the construction project of the Central Lombok Regent's Pendopo.

The Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Artanto, said that his party was investigating this case based on the follow-up to the transfer of handling files from the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of the Police.

"Departing from the delegation to the NTB Regional Police, the dossier is currently being studied by the Special Crimes Department," said Artanto as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 22.

The delegation of files that went to the NTB Regional Police, he explained, was received in the form of Notification on the Progress of Investigation Results (SP2HP) Number 20/III/RES.3.5/2022/Tipikor. The letter was signed by the Deputy Director of Corruption Crimes at the National Police, Kombes Pol. Arief Adiharsa.

With the SP2HP, Artanto explained that his party would investigate illegal acts (PMH) and state losses from the project.

"That's it, it is studied to see if there is an element of corruption or not. So now the handling is still in the process of being studied," he said.

Allegations of corruption in the project began with a public report to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. The project was carried out using the 2019 APBD with a budget of Rp. 13.27 billion.

There are allegations of a lack of work volume which reaches at least Rp1.087 billion. This figure is the finding of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) which is recorded in the 2021 Examination Results Report (LHP).
