JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo assesses that the planned meeting of the PDI-P DPP Chairperson Puan Maharani and the General Chair of the NasDem Party is a representative of the party leadership.

"Yes, you can meet with anyone. (That's) a representative of party leaders," said Ganjar in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Monday, August 22, quoted from Antara.

Ganjar said that after being a speaker at the Introduction to Academic Culture and Student Affairs for new students at the State Islamic University, Prof. KH Saifuddin Zuhri (UIN Saizu) Purwokerto which was held at the Rectorate of UIN Saizu.

The PDIP politician was also reluctant to comment much when asked about the possibility that the meeting would recommend him to be promoted as a presidential candidate in the 2024 election.

"Says who? Well, it's okay, I hope everyone is healthy," said Ganjar.

When asked if he was ready to be recommended as a presidential candidate by PDIP and the NasDem Party, he was again reluctant to comment.

"That's your conclusion," he asserted.

However, Ganjar hopes that all are healthy and in harmony.

"Everyone is healthy, harmonious, prosperous, this nation is working," said the number one person in Central Java.

Previously, the Secretary General of the PDI-P DPP Hasto Kristiyanto said the meeting between the elite PDIP and the General Chair of the NasDem Party at NasDem Tower, Jakarta, on Monday (22/8) would discuss national issues and consolidation ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Hasto also denied the PDIP meeting with NasDem because Ganjar Pranowo was recommended to be one of the NasDem presidential candidates. He admitted that PDIP's visit was due to the proximity of the NasDem office.
