JAKARTA - The Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) of Kudus, Central Java, noted that from August 1-14, 2022, 13 people had complained because their names were used as cadres for certain political parties. Even entered into the information system of political parties (Sipol).

"These dozen people do not feel they belong to a certain political party, so they complain to the Kudus Bawaslu," said the chairman of the Kudus Bawaslu, Moh Wahibul Minan in Kudus, Monday, August 22, as quoted by Antara.

He revealed that the backgrounds of the complainants varied, ranging from university students, entrepreneurs, students, private employees, teachers, and even non-PNS Islamic Religious Counselors in the Ministry of Religion of Kudus Regency which were also displayed in certain political parties.

Meanwhile, their origins, he said, were scattered in several villages, starting from Loram Wetan Village, Tumpangkrasak Village, Kaliwungu Village, Besito Village, Klumpit Village, Singocandi Village, Cendono Village, Sunggingan Village and Pasuruhan Kidul Village.

The reasons for the complaints of the dozens of people are different, among them there are those who feel that their names have been used by a political party and have been included as DPC administrators with the position of deputy chairman, even though there has been no communication and agreement with the person concerned.

"There are also those who claim that they have never been members or administrators of political parties, but their names are included in the Sipol. There are also those who argue that they are not members of certain parties, but their names are included in the Sipol. There are also those who object because their names are registered with the Sipol," he said.

Related to this, he added, the KPU also provides special services to check the membership of political parties. For people in Kudus who feel that they are not members of a political party, but after checking their names through http://infopemilu.kpu.go.id/Pemilu/Cari_nik, it turns out that they are in Sipol, they can complain to the KPU or Bawaslu.

"The RI Bawaslu and all provincial Bawaslu and regency/city Bawaslu have opened a public complaint service post at this stage. In Kudus, the records of the Kudus Regency Bawaslu complaint post as of Sunday (21/8) were 13 people who complained at https://tinyurl. com/laporbawaslukudus," he said.

From the complaint, the Kudus Bawaslu then forwarded it by sending a letter of suggestion for improvement to the Kudus Regency KPU.

The registration period for political parties as candidates for the 2024 general election is open from August 1-14, 2022. Meanwhile, the next stage is entering the administrative verification (vermin) of political party requirements documents.

In accordance with KPU Decree Number 260/2022, Regency/Municipal KPUs carry out administrative verification of political party membership requirements from 16-29 August 2022. The administrative verification is divided into several stages.
