GIANYAR- A man with mental illness or ODGJ named Dewa Gede Gunastra (43) went on a rampage and stabbed a number of people and killed one person in Gianyar, Bali.

"The case of abuse carried out by the perpetrator Dewa Gede Gunastra, is suspected to be caused by the perpetrator having a mental disorder or ODGJ," said the Head of the Tampaksiring, Gianyar, Police Sector, AKP Ni Luh Suardini, Thursday, August 18 evening.

The stabbing took place in Banjar Sawa Gunung, Pejeng Kelod Village, Tampaksiring District, Gianyar Regency, Bali at around 15.00 WITA.

One person named Dewa Ketut Alit (72) died and three others were injured. Three injured victims were taken to the hospital, namely Dewa Ketut Raka (60) who suffered a knife wound to his right leg, Wahyu Pramesti (27) suffered a head injury and Dewa Putu Suparta (46) suffered a cut to his right leg.

But suddenly the perpetrators also slashed the victims Wahyu Pramesti and Dewa Putu Suparta so that they suffered slashes.

When the victim asked for help, the perpetrator again slashed Dewa Ketut Raka. However, because residents had arrived, the perpetrator ran through the back door heading north 30 meters away.
