Causes Queues To Get Longer, Coffee Shops At Harmoni Transjakarta Bus Stop Are Protested

JAKARTA - A number of people protested against the placement of a coffee shop inside the Transjakarta Harmoni bus stop, Central Jakarta. This protest was expressed on social media.

The Twitter account @infojakarta said that the queue for bus passengers was becoming increasingly congested because some of the lanes that could serve as queue points became coffee shops.

"This is the mission, om @PT_Transjakarta, which official authorized the idea to build a coffee shop inside the Harmoni Stop?!?!? Passengers are still working, the place is being taken to sell coffee. Et geez," wrote the @infojakarta account, quoted on Thursday, August 18 .

Also responding, a member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the PSI faction, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo, also asked Transjakarta to admit that he was surprised by the intention of placing a coffee shop at the busiest Transjakarta bus stop.

"I can't understand why there was an idea to build a coffee shop there. Harmoni bus stop is a central bus stop that has many transit points. Without a coffee shop before, the place was crowded and crowded," said Anggara.

He also demanded that Transjakarta dismantle the coffee shop inside the Harmoni bus stop. Because, according to him, the convenience of customers in transportation is more important than prioritizing business matters in the construction of transportation facilities.

"If you want to make people comfortable using public transportation, every development must be user-oriented, not just concerned with business or aesthetic aspects. That's why we ask for this to be dismantled immediately because people are suffering from being jostled there," he said.

Separately, the Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of PT Transjakarta, Anang Rizkani Noor, admitted that his party already knew that the coffee shop located at the Harmoni Stop was criticized.

Now, Anang said that his party was discussing first to resolve the issue. "We have heard about it, and are currently discussing it," said Anang in a short message.
