Gas Cylinder Hose Leaks, Residents' House In Pulogadung Scorched By Fire

JAKARTA - A fire engulfed a house on Jalan Haji Ten, Bulog Complex, C14, Kayu Putih Village, Pulogadung District on Monday night, August 15.

The fire incident was reported to the Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat) at around 22.30 WIB.

"The deployment of 4 units of fire engines with 20 personnel," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, told reporters on Tuesday, August 16.

The process of extinguishing the fire started at 22:42 WIB with 20 officers pouring water on the location. After watering, the fire was successfully cooled at 22:47 WIB.

"The only object that burned down was a house belonging to Fera Lisman with an area of 2x3 meters. The fire ended at 22:58 WIB," he said.

From the results of the temporary investigation, the fire was suspected to have been triggered by a gas leak that caused sparks and fires.

"The reporter saw the fire from the kitchen that came from a gas leak and called his brother. Then his brother reported to the fire department. The fire was extinguished at 22:58 WIB. As a result of the fire incident, the victim suffered a loss of Rp 15 million," he said.
