In Front Of Suharso Monoarfa, Deputy Chairman Of The KPK Nurul Ghufron: Show That PPP Is A Non-financial Belief Party

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron reminded political parties, including the United Development Party (PPP) to position themselves as pillars of democracy. They should not rely on money to win the general election (election).

This was conveyed by Ghufron while filling the Smart Politics with Integrity (PCB) activity organized by the KPK, Monday, August 15. This time, it was PPP's turn to receive 'advice' from the KPK.

"We all sometimes forget that you are all pillars of democracy, pillars of Indonesia to achieve justice," said Ghufron as aired on the Indonesian KPK ACLC YouTube, Monday, August 15.

He reminded PPP cadres not to join other groups who use money politics to be nominated and win the election. Ghufron was concerned because in 1979 his grandfather had been the chairman of PPP DPC Sumenep, Madura, East Java.

"Show that PPP is a party that has faith and not power, sir. Because the reality is that now it seems like you are in doubt, even if you don't have confidence, if you don't have capital, the general chairman may not be chosen to run for office," he stressed.

"Let's show it, sir, prove that God is the greatest, not money," continued Ghufron.

Meanwhile, Suharso Monoarfa who participated in PCB said that this activity is expected to stop corrupt practices. He even said that legislative candidates and regional heads who would advance were required to take part in anti-corruption briefings from the KPK.

This step, continued Suharso, is important because PPP will fight to prevent corruption.

"We are one of the political parties that are struggling to prevent wider corruption, hopefully we can collaborate well," said Suharso.

"Hopefully, the upcoming election will be an intelligent election, an election that will not be followed by intelligent political parties but also intelligent voters. Moreover, the majority of the elections in the future will be young voters," he concluded.
