Tebet Eco Park Opens Again, Deputy Governor Of DKI Reminds No More Street Vendors And Illegal Parking

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has reopened the Tebet Eco Park, Tebet, South Jakarta, after two months of closure. When this green space was reopened, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria emphasized that there should be no more street vendors (PKL) selling carelessly and parking illegally around Tebet Eco Park.

"It is no longer allowed to sell on the edges of Tebet Eco Park and park carelessly because this disturbs local residents and disturbs the orderliness of road users," said Riza at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, August 15.

Riza said, Tebet Eco Park was closed because of the chaos caused by the rise of street vendors who placed their stalls and illegal parking on the sidewalk to the front of residential residents.

Not to mention, the number of visitors is often booming. So, the DKI Provincial Government was protested by residents because it was considered not optimal in managing the area.

Therefore, after being re-opened, Riza sees that it is better for visitors to Tebet Eco Park to use public transportation. Considering, although currently parking locations around Tebet Eco Park have been prepared, the capacity is still limited.

"It is not easy for us to immediately prepare a parking space there because there are not many locations. So, we ask that we have limited the number of residents who come there, we hope to use public transportation," he explained.

To oversee the orderliness of activities at Tebet Eco Park, Riza said that the Jakarta Satpol PP ranks would monitor so that there would be no more street vendors and illegal parking that had previously occurred.

"There must be a Satpol PP that maintains order. There is also one who takes care of cleanliness and tidiness," he added.
