Suspicious Of Being Raped While Sleeping, 16-year-old Girl In Tangerang Reports Her Uncle's Behavior To Her Aunt

TANGERANG - A man with the initials SA (28) was arrested by the Tangerang Police, Banten Police. The reason, SA is suspected of raping children under the age of 16 years. Ironically, the victim was his own nephew.

Tangerang Police Chief Kombes Pol Raden Romdhon Natakusuma said the incident took place at the suspect's house in the Kresek sub-district on Sunday, July 31. The victim was staying at the suspect's house at the time.

Kombes Romdhon explained that the victim was sleeping in the room at the time of the incident.

"On the night of the incident, the victim who was sleeping suddenly felt pain in the vital organs. When he woke up, the victim saw the suspect in the room. The suspect seemed to be in a hurry to put on a towel. While the victim's pants were in a position down to the thigh," said Romdhon, through a written statement, Monday, August 15.

The victim, continued Romdhon, had asked the suspect, 'what am I doing'. But the suspect at that time replied that he wanted to cover the victim because there were lots of mosquitoes.

Then, still explained by Romdhon, the suspect rushed out of the room, while the victim went to the bathroom. At that time, he continued, the victim found fluid suspected of being sperm around his pants. The victim believed she had been raped.

Out of fear, the victim then woke up her aunt, or the suspect's wife. To the aunt, the victim told the incident that happened. Then, along with her aunt, the victim went to the suspect who was sleeping in another room. When asked by the victim's aunt or wife, the suspect denied committing immoral acts.

Romdhon said, the victim's aunt then advised the victim to go home immediately. At that time the suspect looked panicked to see the victim was about to go home even though it was late at night. After the victim arrived home, the victim told the incident that had happened to the victim's mother. Then the incident was reported to the Kresek Police.

The police immediately moved when they received the report. Wasting no time, after receiving the report, on the same day the police arrested the suspect SA at his home.

For his actions, the suspect is charged with Article 81 and/or Article 82 of the Child Protection Act, which carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
