JAKARTA - LSI survey institute Denny JA dissects the segmentation of party voters and party coalitions in the 2024 General Election from sentiments of satisfaction with the performance of President Joko Widodo's government.

The results of the LSI Denny JA survey show that 35.98 percent of voters are satisfied with Jokowi's performance, 30.27 percent of voters are dissatisfied with Jokowi's performance, and 29.8 percent of moderate voters or those in the middle lane.

LSI researcher Denny JA, Ardian Sopa divides the three axes of the party coalition as the bearers of the presidential and vice presidential candidates, namely the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB), which consists of Golkar, PPP, and PAN; PDIP; and Gerindra, NasDem, PKB, Democrat, and PKS.

As a result, each axis has a tendency to be chosen by each classification of voter sentiment on Jokowi's performance. For example, KIB tends to be chosen more by moderate voters.

"The KIB axis is superior in the moderate voter segment. The PDIP axis is superior in the segment of voters who are satisfied with Jokowi's performance. And the Gerindra plus PKB axis is superior in the segment of voters who are not satisfied with Jokowi's performance," Ardian said in a survey presentation, Monday, August 15th.

Ardian detailed, in the satisfied voter segment, the PDIP axis voters were 25.4 percent, KIB 1.72 percent, Gerindra-PKB 18.3 percent, other parties 15.6 percent, and respondents who did not answer 23.5 percent.

In the moderate voter segment, the PDIP axis voters were 22.6 percent, KIB 25.4 percent, Gerindra-PKB 14.9 percent, other parties 17.9 percent, and respondents who did not answer 17.3 percent.

Meanwhile, in the dissatisfied voter segment, 16.4 percent of PDIP axis voters, 16.6 percent of KIB, 20.9 percent of Gerindra-PKB, 18.1 percent of other parties, and 28 percent of respondents who did not answer.

As is known, this survey was published on August 15, 2022 with 1,200 respondents who were conducted face-to-face interviews using a questionnaire, using the multistage random sampling method. The margin of error is around 2.9 percent.
