JAKARTA - Chairman of the Republican Work Party Ari Sigit registered his party as a candidate for the 2024 General Election at the KPU RI office on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Central Jakarta, today. Ari, who is the grandson of President Soeharto, said that all the administrative requirements of his party were complete.
He hopes that the Karya Republik Party can pass to parliament in the current political contestation, even though the party which was founded in 2012 has never passed parliament.
"God willing, the (file) is complete. In 2013 (2014) we had the second most complete list. However, the factual verification did not pass yesterday," said Ari, Sunday, August 14.
Ari said that currently the Republican Work Party has more than 35,000 party cadres throughout Indonesia. He said his party had a nationalist and religious ideology.
Not wanting to be separated from history, Ari said that the Republican Work Party would continue the government program during the Old Order, New Order, and Reformation eras which he considered good.
"In the future, what is good from the programs of the Old Order, New Order, Reformation Order, and the current order which is good, we will definitely continue. What is good we will definitely run. What is not good, we will definitely fix it," said Ari.
Ari then explained the purpose of his party to be included in the parliament. He claimed that the Republican Work Party wanted to contribute to the nation by reducing the debt that Indonesia had so far.
"We want to contribute to the nation and state, prioritize the interests of the people, prioritize income per capita, increase it, and reduce state debt," he explained.
The mass base they are targeting is nationalist, religious, and millennial groups. Especially for millennials, the Republican Work Party has a job opening program.
"We have a program to open the widest possible job opportunities for fresh graduates," he added.
