Held 72nd Anniversary People's Party, Bekasi Regency Government Pushes MSME Awakening Momentum To Recover From Pandemic

BEKASI - The Bekasi Regency Government, West Java, held a people's party in the eastern parking area of the Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Cikarang, in order to enliven the region's 72nd anniversary as an entertainment offering for the entire community.

Acting Bekasi Regent Dani Ramdan stated that in addition to commemorating the 72nd anniversary which fell on Monday 15 August, this people's party was also held to revive the community's economy after the COVID-19 pandemic.

"This is a party for the people of Bekasi Regency which is part of a series of activities to commemorate the 72nd Anniversary of Bekasi Regency," he said as reported by Antara in Cikarang, West Java, Sunday, August 14.

He said the people's party will include a bazaar for products of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), an entertainment stage, and a carnival of ornamental vehicles which will be held on Wednesday 17 August as well as enliven the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

This people's party activity was realized thanks to the hard work, alertness, and seriousness of all regional apparatus and supported by the sponsors of Bank BJB even though it had not been planned and budgeted beforehand.

"Hopefully this can be a momentum for MSME actors to recover from the impact of the pandemic. Then with the entertainment stage, people get entertainment and school children also get a place to express themselves on this stage and our culture is also growing," he said.

Dani invited the entire community of Bekasi Regency to visit the people's party, enjoy the entertainment that was served, visit the MSME exhibition and taste and buy regional specialties to help develop the business of small business actors.

Head of the Bekasi Regency Cooperatives and SMEs Service, Iyan Priyatna, said that in order to raise the spirit to recover after the pandemic, the Bekasi Regency Government made the 72nd anniversary commemoration a momentum to spur the economy of MSME actors.

Iyan also invited all MSME players to join the Bekasi Dare to Buy (Bebeli) program as an innovation to reach a much wider digital market share.

"This is part of the collaboration to ensure that MSME players are digitized and become part of the economic revival in a new innovation order so that they can develop further. We hope that this entertainment stage will attract people's attention to maximize the purchasing power of MSME products," he said.

While the Head of the Bank Jabar Banten (BJB) Branch Office Cikarang Arfandy admitted that he was honored to be involved in this activity. As part of the Bekasi Regency Government, Bank BJB will continue to contribute to local government work programs.

"Bank BJB Cikarang Branch is part of the Bekasi Regency Government, one of the visions and missions of Bank BJB is to bring the people's economy closer and grow the economy of the district itself. This is one form of Bank BJB together with the Bekasi Regency Government holding events like this," he said.
