The Perpetrator Of The Burning Of The Village Head's House In Sibolangit, North Sumatra Was Arrested By The Police, Admitted To Being Sick, The Victim Reprimanded In Front Of The Residents

MEDAN - Police officers arrested the perpetrator of the burning of the village head's house in Sibolangit District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.

"The perpetrator with the initials PT was arrested at his hiding place in Karo Regency," said Pancur Batu Police Chief Kompol Eriyanto Ginting, Saturday, August 13.

The arrest of the perpetrator was based on the victim's report related to the burning of his house that occurred on July 11, 2022.

Based on the report, the police conducted an investigation and managed to find out the identity of the perpetrator from his motorbike which was left at the scene.

Based on the results of the interrogation, the motive for the burning was motivated by the perpetrator's pain because he did not accept being reprimanded by the victim.

"The perpetrator was hurt because he was reprimanded in front of other residents," he said.

The perpetrators are subject to Article 187 of the Criminal Code which carries a sentence of 12 years in prison.

"The perpetrator is currently in custody," he said.
