Attorney General Inspector General Ferdy Sambo Denies His 'client' Gave Envelopes To LPSK

JAKARTA - Irwan Irawan as the attorney for Inspector General Pol Ferdy Sambo denied that his client sent two brown envelopes to the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK).

"First, when the incident occurred, absolutely nothing happened as described. We do not understand the envelope issues," said Irwan when confirmed, Friday, August 12.

Irwan asked the party who accused him to prove that the brown envelope was given. In addition, they must also disclose the contents of the envelope to the public.

"Even if there is, it must be stated who gave it, what is in it. He must state the purpose. (Because-ed) I was asked this, I don't understand what the envelope contained and who gave it," he explained.

Therefore, he ensured that the two envelopes were not given because at the time of the incident, Ferdy Sambo was accompanied by a lawyer.

"At that time there was a lawyer who also accompanied if the information is not wrong, there was no incident," he said.

For information, Deputy Chairperson of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) Edwin Partogi said that one member of the group was given two brown envelopes after meeting the former Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, on Wednesday, July 13.

At that time, two LPSK officers met with Sambo at the Propam Kadiv Office. According to him, the meeting was related to a request for protection for Ferdy Sambo's wife.
