JAKARTA - The Ciamis Police have not been able to determine who the suspect is in the case of the deadly accident that claimed the lives of eight people on Jalan Sukamantri, Ciamis Regency, West Java. There are still passengers and drivers being treated.

"Regarding the determination of the suspect or the possibility of a suspect, we are still completing the evidence," said Ciamis Police Chief AKBP Tony Prasetyo Yudhangkoro, Friday, August 12.

Meanwhile, efforts to collect information from victims' witnesses have not been carried out intensively because the condition of the passengers and driver are currently being treated at the hospital.

Seven people, one of them the driver, received medical treatment at the Ciamis Regional General Hospital (RSUD) due to fractures and head injuries due to the single accident.

The incident left eight people dead, six of them died at the scene, and two people were in hospital.

The police concluded that one of the causes of the incident was due to inadequate braking due to carrying too many people and poor road conditions.
