Three Motorcycle Thieves In Cilincing Stuck In Ranmor Raid: One Surrenders Arrested, Two Others Escape

JAKARTA – Luckily for Lukman Nurfauzi, his motorbike that was lost when parked in front of the house was able to return in a short time. This is because the perpetrator, who was fleeing with Fauzi's motorbike, was caught in a raid by the Cilincing Police, North Jakarta.

It was A alias Sirong (26), who stole Lukman's motorbike on Jalan Kebantenan III, Semper, North Jakarta.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cilincing Police, AKP Alex Chandra, said that the incident occurred on Friday, August 12, at 03.00 WIB.

The incident began when the Cilincing Police Buser Team was on patrol. However, upon arrival at the crime scene (TKP), members saw three motorbikes side by side.

"There were 3 men, riding three motorbikes walking side by side. And one of the Honda Vario Nopol R 6738 V motorbikes was in a step or pushed by foot. Then the Opsnal team stopped the 3 motorbikes. But when approached, 2 perpetrators immediately ran away self," said Alex when confirmed, Friday, August 12.

When his two friends fled, Sirong stopped because his motorbike was dead.

"The perpetrator Sirong was left at the location because the Honda Vario Nopol R 6738 V motorbike he was carrying was not alive, and there was no ignition key," he explained.

Alex continued, his party examined the perpetrators at the scene. As a result, Sirong admitted that he and two of his friends who ran away had just stolen a motorbike.

"Furthermore, the perpetrator was brought to the location, it turned out that the motorbike belonged to the missing victim Lukman Nur Fauzi, and when it was parked the handlebars were not locked," he said.

The perpetrator is suspected of Article 363 Paragraph (1) 4 of the Criminal Code with a threat of more than five years.
