One Hectare Of Land In Bintan Regency Burns

BINTAN - An area of about one hectare in Villa Indah Housing, Sei Lekop Village, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands (Kepri), burned down.

"The fire occurred at around 18.00 WIB," said Head of the UPTD for the East Bintan District Fire Department, Nurwendi, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 11.

Nurwrendi said that information on the incident was obtained from residents of Sei Lekop, and then forwarded to the East Bintan Forest and Land Fire Task Force (Karhutla).

After that, the Karhutla task force team immediately went to the scene to extinguish the fire by deploying a fire engine. "The fire was extinguished at around 20.30 WIB," he said.

However, his party does not yet know the source of the fire, but it is possible that it was deliberately burned to clear land in the middle of summer.
