TANGERANG – Coordinator of the Data and Information Planning Division of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Tangerang City, Ahmad Subhan, found 96,851 double voters out of 1,174,013 people who will vote in the 2024 simultaneous General Elections (Pemilu).

"We received data that met the requirements due to death, then double data," said Ahmad when confirmed, Thursday, August 11.

In addition, the data was found to be inconsistent. The reason is, there are 622 people who are declared dead, two of whom are still alive. This was known after his party looked for facts in the field.

"Of the 622, about 568 were declared dead. We found that there were 2 people who were still alive, then 54 were not found. This means that the person is no longer there," he said.

Then, it was also found that 54 residents had changed their place of residence and their whereabouts were no longer known, but were declared dead.

"The 54 people were not found because when we arrived there were several areas that had been evicted, and the people had scattered and it was not known where they had moved to," he explained.

On the basis of finding the duplicate and disproportionate data, his party will convey the facts to the Banten Provincial KPU. Then it will also be discussed with the Tangerang City Population and Civil Registry Office (Disdukcapil) and BPS.

Subhan explained that the matching of voter data will continue until the first stage of the 2024 General Election.

"Now we are still in non-stages, we hope that by the end of August everything will be finished," he said.
