JAKARTA - Four motor vehicles caught fire in one of the warehouses in the Ujung Menteng area, Cakung, East Jakarta, on Wednesday night at around 20.30 WIB, allegedly due to an electrical short circuit.

"There were two containers that caught fire, a car and a motorcycle," said Head of Operations for the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 10.

Gatot explained, the vehicle fire incident began when one of the workers saw a fire from one of the vehicles.

"By the time the workers were focusing on work, the fire was already visible in the break room of the container and spread around it," said Gatot.

A total of five units of fire engines were deployed with a total of 25 personnel to extinguish the fire that burned the vehicle.

The blackout process takes approximately 30 minutes. In addition, there were also reported no casualties or injuries in the incident.

"There were no casualties, but material losses ranged from Rp. 100 million," said Gatot.
