TANGERANG - Member of Commission II DPRD Tangerang City Saiful Milah took a stand regarding the issue of expired drugs that were given by Posyandu Bunga Kenanga officers, Pondok Pucung, Karang Tengah, Tangerang City, to one toddler.

Saiful Milah said he would call the Tangerang City Health Office (Dinkes) and the people involved on Monday, August 15. The goal is to find out the truth of the drug.

"That's a serious violation, given the expiration date, especially since it's been two years. So it's a bad record for the Health Office. We'll definitely call it. We'll take action. Maybe next Monday," said Saiful when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, August 10.

"All those involved were called. The problem is it makes people doubt. They want the national child immunization month program," he continued.

Saiful said that the Tangerang City Government should be more careful when administering drugs or whatever to the public.

"It should have been one month before the expiration date, it should have been withdrawn. Give the community the best. You can't have expired goods. Because it's dangerous, medicine expires. Food is not good enough," he concluded.

Previously, a toddler with the initials ARK experienced vomiting and had a high fever. Widya, ARK's parent, said he was surprised when the medicine given from the Posyandu turned out to be expired.

"I thought, I was negligent, didn't I, I just thought I was a medical person, I should be more careful, right, it's medicine, not just food," said Widya when met in the Pondok Pucung area, Karang Tengah, Tangerang City,

Furthermore, Widya said that he had given the fever-reducing medicine to his son twice. But instead of getting cured, the baby was vomiting at night.

"Twice, in the afternoon and evening before in WA. Once, at 8 o'clock at night before going to bed. Vomited after drinking," he said.
