Encouraging Religious Moderation, Ganjar Invites ASEAN Youth Delegation To Visit Kaloran District, What's Up?

CENTRAL JAVA - Central Java (Central Java) Governor Ganjar Pranowo hopes that the younger generation who are members of the ASEAN Youth Interfaith Camp can realize religious moderation among nations.

This was conveyed by Ganjar after receiving the ASEAN Youth Interfaith Camp delegation at the Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building, Semarang, Wednesday 10 August. The event was attended by delegates from Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Singapore.

According to him, these interfaith youths are examples of young people who think positively.

"They want to encourage or create a program where children become very moderate and tolerant, so the questions that arise are also how to build that tolerance," he said, according to Antara.

At the meeting, Ganjar and the delegates discussed how to face the challenges of change and the world situation that continues and occurs so fast.

"I tell you when the world is not good because of this my children say 'tell your parents, tell them to make a decision not to go to war'. Let's work together to collaborate for the good of all," he said.

In Central Java, he continued, there were many examples of the implementation and movement of moderation and religious tolerance, one of which was in Kaloran District, Temanggung Regency.

The number one person in Central Java also advised them to try live-in activities in the area.

"How can a village with very diverse religions be able to be very harmonious or the experience of FKUB Banyumas is so cool that economic assistance is so and can be done," he said.

Ganjar hopes that the delegates of the 2022 ASEAN Youth Interfaith Camp will gain additional knowledge that can be utilized, especially for the delegates of ASEAN countries.

"Hopefully they will learn a lot so that he can get what they want. The provincial government is happy to guide them so they can get the information they want, these kids are cool," he said.
