JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that he was aware of the case of an officer for handling public infrastructure and facilities (PPSU) who abused his girlfriend and ran over her with a motorcycle in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta.

Riza emphasized that the perpetrator, named Zulpikar, would soon be fired as a PPSU officer. This is an instruction from the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, who was also aware of the incident.

"The governor has ordered the administrative assistant, who has been asked to search for the person from which village. The action given by the provincial government is, of course, dismissal," said Riza at DKI City Hall, Tuesday, August 9.

To ensure that the instructions for the dismissal of the perpetrator were carried out by his staff, Riza called the Head of the West Rawa Village that Zulpikar would be fired from the PPSU officer of the Rawa Barat Village.

"According to the mechanism, sanctions are given, including dismissal, sir. Later we will evaluate the others, we will evaluate all PPSU members for attention," said Riza in a telephone connection.

"Don't let an incident like this happen again. So it's an important lesson for all of us. Thank you, sir," said Riza before hanging up the phone.

Riza also said that this case of abuse would also be reported to the police. Then, there will be an evaluation of the PPSU recruitment process. This action is taken to prevent similar events from happening again.

"The person concerned will be reported to the authorities, to the local police station. Of course, internally, we will further improve monitoring, evaluation, and all recruitment processes for all existing PPSU members," he said.

For information, a video has gone viral on social media showing Zulpikar's mistreatment of women. The persecution took place on Jalan Kemang Dalam VI, Bangka Village, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta on the afternoon of Monday, August 8th.

Judging from the video, Zulpikar appears to be kicking, grabbing, hitting the woman. In fact, Zulpikar also ran over the woman using his motorcycle.

Based on the information from the Bangka Village Head, the woman is Zulpikar's lover. The cause of the abuse occurred because Zulpikar felt jealous of the woman.
