GORONTALO - The North Gorontalo Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) will investigate the alleged gratification involving the regional officials.

"The DPRD will not silence the alleged case that has been crowded in the public in this area. Moreover, the incident appeared in various mass media when we held a recess. So that the activities of all DPRD members are in the midst of the community," said Deputy Chairman of the North Gorontalo DPRD, Roni Imran, Tuesday 9 August.

That's why, he said, the institution should not turn a blind eye or seem to let the issue go, especially since the DPRD has received a lot of complaints, questions and even pressure from the community, NGOs and community leaders.

DPRD, he said, had held a meeting of the Deliberative Body, related to the search steps that would be carried out.

"Of course we will carry out or follow up according to the existing mechanism in this institution," he said, according to Antara.

All factions including PDIP, NasDem, Golkar, PAN, Association of Stars joined by PPP, PKS, Gerindra and Hanura will hold a leadership meeting to determine the next steps in addressing the alleged gratification.

Because the DPRD is obliged to carry out the function of supervising the running of the regional government to prevent acts of fraud or violations of the law that can lead to acts of violating the law.

Allegedly, based on the video circulating, there was an activity of giving a large amount of money which was allegedly carried out by the Head of the local Goods and Services Procurement Work Unit (UKPBJ), with one of the people close to Regent Tariq Modanggu.

"We don't yet know the status of the person concerned, whether it's in the SK assignment as an aide or sespri," said Roni.
