JAKARTA - The boy with the initial Y (12) who was reported missing and drowned in the Bekasi River stream, was found by the joint SAR Team, Monday, August 8, at around 12.20 WIB. Unfortunately, the victim was found dead.

The victim's body was found within a radius of 200 meters from where the victim drowned. The victim was evacuated to the Bekasi City Hospital.

"One victim has been found this afternoon by joint SAR elements," said Head of the Jakarta SAR Office as SAR Mission Coordinator, Fazzli when confirmed by VOI, Monday, August 8.

Although one victim has been found, the joint SAR team has continued to search for another victim who has not been found. A boy who has not been found with the initials S (12).

"The search was again carried out by dividing the search area into 2 SRU teams, first conducting a search by combing using a rubber boat along the Bekasi River flow up to a radius of 8 KM from the incident location," said Fazzli.

Furthermore, the second SRU conducted a search by visual observation by land along the banks of the Bekasi River up to a radius of 4 KM.

"Approximately dozens of personnel from the Joint SAR element were deployed in the SAR operation today," he said.

As is known, two children with the initials Y (12) and S (12) were declared missing from drowning, presumably due to exhaustion from swimming in the Bekasi River stream, at around 14.20 WIB.

The incident began when Y and S along with 4 other children were playing on the banks of the river. Then Y was suspected of being tired while swimming and asked his friends for help.

Then victim S tried to help Y, but S's rescue efforts by swimming to Y did not go smoothly. Y and S were actually swept away by the current and drowned.
